Afghanistan and its role for Russia and China

Abstract. The article presents a retrospective and perspective of the development of the situation in Afghanistan, its interaction with the Russian Federation (Russia) and the People’s Republic of China (China). In the light of the changes in the global world order and the building of international relations at a new level and under new conditions, the events taking place in Afghanistan and the Central Asian region require a new approach on the part of the world community and the neighbouring countries. The next rise to power in Afghanistan of the «Taliban» movement, after the withdrawal of the Western Coalition forces led by the United States, brings positive changes to the processes going on inside the country. The authors, using the scientific and analytical method, identified the main directions of development of relations between the Russian Federation and China and Afghanistan in the current difficult realities of political and economic events in the world.
