The economic policy of the People's Republic of China in relation to the Tibet Autonomous Region in 1949-2014

Abstract
The article outlines key stages of the CPC’s economic policy towards TAR and measures taken in order to develop the region and successfully integrate it into the powerful economy of China. The paper highlights mechanisms aimed at maintaining social stability and eliminating the threat of separation of the border and relatively remote area taking into account the landscape features and local resource base throughout the implementation of both domestic and foreign policy interests of China.
